The Negro League
The Negro League was a league that the African Americans played in. They were not allowed to play with "white" baseball players which had a league that we know today as Major Leauge Baseball . The Negro League was kept completely separate from the MLB. Many famous African Americans played in the Negro Leagues, such as Jackie Robinson and our Delaware local Judy Johnson.

When the Negro League started becoming popular some of the players moved to the MLB. The first of these players was Jackie Robinson. When the players stated moving to the MLB the fans started to move with them. That is when the Negro League started to lose popularity and it became obsolete. The last Negro League game was played in 1958.
